To install or update the Blackmagic Desktop Video software, follow these instructions for your platform. With newer versions of ProPresenter and Arena, it is recommended to be on v15 or higher.
Windows 11
YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO SHUT DOWN THE COMPUTER AFTER THE FIRMWARE IS UPDATED. This will require MANUALLY pressing the power button to turn the computer back on. A reboot will not work. Do not upgrade remotely or before a service!
- Go to the folder in Dropbox:
Services > Support > Software > Windows > Decklink - Right click the installer and select "Run with elevated access"
- Continue through all screens and reboot your complete when prompted.
- You should be prompted to update the Decklink firmware when the computer has finished rebooting.
- Shutdown the computer after all cards have updated, wait 15 seconds, and power the computer back on.
macOS
Clicking Install in Self Service will immediately reboot your computer
after
the installation is complete.
Do not update immediately before a service!

- Open the Self Service app
- Go to "Catalog" tab
- Click on the "Drivers and Utilities" section
- Click "Install" next to Blackmagic Desktop Video.
After your computer reboots, you'll be required to update the Decklink firmware. You should receive a prompt immediately upon login to do this. If you do not, open the Desktop Video software and verify that the Decklink card can be seen. In some cases you may have to go to System Preferences > Privacy and Security and click allow.
