With the move to Windows at campuses, some users have found it more of a challeng to share files between their mobile devices or other devices on network. In this article, we'll cover a few tools that allow you to share files between all of the devices that may be at a campus.

PairDrop - The Cross-Platform AirDrop Alternative (AirDrop Alternative)
The tool is a better alternative to AirDrop that allows for better connectivity with devices at each campus and network, along with simple cross-campus connectivity. -
SMB Windows File Sharing
Windows/SMB file sharing is the standard way to share file between devices in a corporate network. We recommend this for sharing files between devices that are permanently installed. -
Microsoft Teams (iMessage Alternative)
While production campus computers have never been allowed iMessage access due to past abuse (users logging into personal accounts or causing service distractions), all have had access to Teams. And, being as that's one of the few approved methods of communication at Highlands, Teams is installed on all production devices and staff devices, so sharing the production account is extremely simple. To share to a production device, just start a chat with the campus production account (ie, xyz@highlandsproduction.com). What's super exciting is that users outside of Church of the Highlands can send messages to that Teams chat! Wow! -
Email
If none of the above options work for your use case, every campus production team has a simple email that can be used to share files (xyz@highlandsproduction.com). Note that not every computer has Microsoft Outlook setup; however, often times, especially on Windows, it's as simple as opening Microsoft Outlook to begin using it. If your device doesn't have Outlook installed or setup, let us know in the Help channel.
